Combat is fully deterministic: there is no random hit chance. Damage is a transparent function of attacker, defender, positioning, and morale. This rewards planning and makes losses feel earned rather than unlucky.
Action Economy
- Each unit has a move action and a main action per turn.
- Main actions may be held to enable overwatch.
- Terrain and elevation modify damage deterministically.
Threat Preview
Before committing a move, the player sees exact incoming damage and morale effects. The preview is the contract: what is shown is what happens.
